The Florida Scottish Athletics Championship Series is not affiliated with any Highland Games association, nor is it affiliated with any particular games committee or Celtic organization.

The championship series competition was devised by Mike Bearden and Kevin Dupuis. Mike was former athletic director for the Tallahassee Games and participating highland games athlete. The competition is meant to be a friendly and competitive goal for other athletes. The goal of this is to boost games attendance, to give some guys a little extra incentive, and most importantly TO HAVE FUN.
